I have taken on board the feedback I was given and have altered the kerning as well as adding a line to the R and removing it on the K on the other.
I've asked for peoples opinions on what works best and the logo type with the diagonal lines in seems to be most popular, however I am unsure if the line makes the R look like a P. To resolve this I have tried out various different variations of the R with a line involved, I think the top 2 work best as they're most simple and read easily as an R.
