Think about who you are wanting to talk to directly and why.
The general public specifically 18-26 year olds, because this is the new generation which are old enough to help, but still unaware of the loneliness in the elderly. Also due to travel advancing more families split up and move around, resulting in leaving the grandparent(s), whereas in the past it wasn't so easy to move around.
What is it that you actually want to change exactly?
Old people being lonely, more people to know it's a serious issue
What is the solution to the problem of loneliness?
People calling up the lonely elderly / visitors coming round / getting them involved in group activities
What actually could be done realistically?
Spread awareness for this issue so that people act on it
