Mock ups to see what the logo would look like in real life, in adverts, the cardboard box in which the flat pack furniture would come in and business cards.

Testing out what the logo would look like in practice was beneficial as it brought a sense of what the essence and style of the brand would be in real life.
The spot varnished logo design is a smooth, slick glossy style which brings an obviously stylish feel to the brand. Whereas with the debossed logo onto chipboard, a more sculptural, architectural and earthy feel comes through. This aesthetic has connotations of carvings in to concrete, relating to the structural style of the furniture Radiko create.
In terms of the advert for the magazine, the size of the logo was made small and aligned centrally, to allow room for the furniture below to breathe. The relationship between the furniture and logo is emphasised by the scale of the object, having both elements of the advert fairly small allows the viewer to focus clearly, it’s simple and clean which is what the company promotes. When having these two together the design of the logo is highlighted as the flat shapes slotting in to each other below are mirrored in the letters, especially the K.
For the magazine advert, the conscious decision was made to have the advert in a square leaving white space surrounding it, this breaks up the page making the advert sit in a different composition to the adverts next to it, differentiating it from the others. The white brings the feeling of simplicity and minimalism, allowing the product the speak for itself in its own space.
