OUGD503 / Responsive / Studio Brief 01 / YCN Coffee / Changing the label

The packaging has been made for this competition brief as well as the short promotional video, however due to how time consuming the making of the packaging was (sewing the hessian fabric into the right size bag, screen printing the name on, screen printing the labels, sewing the labels on, printing and sewing the care labels on also, and threading through the string fastening) I only made the packaging for one blend. After re reading the brief again it appears my submission may be stronger if another blend of coffee was shown also. Due to limited amount of time, the 'Fairtrade' blend was created digitally.

By using the letters I had already hand written the word 'Fairtrade' was created on Illustrator. By using the clone stamp tool on Photoshop the already existing name 'Triple Certified' was removed leaving a blank label. This allowed the new blend to be placed on top. Through trial and error, it became apparent that due to the nature of the curved label (curved around the bag) the letters had to be positioned in a curved way so that it would fit in with the shape of the label.
This blend also doesn't have as many care labels as 'Triple Certified', meaning both labels 'rainforest alliance' and 'soil association' needed to be removed.
